Valencia Bioparc

Valencia’s Bioparc is by far one of the best zoos that I have been to in Europe, spreading over 10 hectares and with so many animals to see, it really is a lovely day out with the kids.

The Biopark is very well designed, there are no railings and cages which we are typically used to in zoos. Instead, they use rivers, ponds, streams and rocks to separate visitors from the animals. It’s so much fun being able to meander freely and easily around the different animal enclosures.

There is a buffet style restaurant where you can have paella for lunch (and it’s pretty good!) and a cafe overlooking the zebras and antelope – it really is magical for the kids.

The underwater aquarium where you can get a real close up of the hippopotamus (that’s if they’re in the mood!) is spectacular.

Most importantly the animals look well looked after and happy in the Valencia climes.

If you plan on visiting at least twice, the annual pass is definitely worth it.

Have fun!
