Encantada (pronounced En-can-taa-da) comes from the Spanish word encantar, meaning “delighted” or “charmed.” It’s also used to say both “nice to meet you” and “happy to help” — and this perfectly reflects our approach to relocation.

Who We Are

We're a family-run team. Steph is an English expat who moved her own family here, Maria is a Valencian lawyer with deep local roots, and Anna keeps every detail and deadline moving. We're mums ourselves, so we know a move is about the whole family. Our mission is to make your move to Valencia and the Costa Blanca effortless and truly enjoyable.

From finding your dream rental or property purchase, filing residency, to selecting the perfect school for your children, we handle every detail. We leverage our unrivalled network of trusted real estate agents, architects, builders, lawyers, notaries, accountants, and interpreters to make your relocation smooth, efficient, and stress-free.

Moving to Spain can be complex, but with our trilingual expertise (English, Spanish and French) and deep understanding of local systems and culture, we ensure you settle in quickly, confidently, and comfortably — leaving you free to enjoy your new life in Spain from day one.

  • "10/10 experience. Initial consultation answered all of our questions, then we were kept in the loop with regular updates throughout our property and school search. Finally helped navigate the confusing TIE process which was invaluable. Huge thanks to Steph and Anna!"

  • "I have no hesitation in recommending Encantada World. Stephanie was tenacious, supportive and upbeat throughout the immigration process, helping me get my residency in under two months. With impressive local knowledge as a cosmopolitan, trilingual (English/French/Spanish) Brit with a Spanish family, she is also a people person with a refreshingly cheeky sense of humour and bundles of natural warmth. She and her business partner Maria, an experienced lawyer, make a formidable team."

  • "Absolutely impeccable service. It sounds cliché, but they really have made my dreams come true! When my arrival was delayed, they found a lovely flat for me and my family before I arrived. They also provided invaluable help with banking and government appointments and just generally put me at ease during a very stressful time. If you are moving to Valencia, I highly recommend Encantada World."

  • "Highly recommended for end-to-end support. UK guy here looking to start my move towards Spain. I knew the destination was Valencia - have visited loads and loved the area - but hadn’t a clue about the process for buying a property in Spain, and knew I’d need help…Maria and Steph are both super friendly and professional - I couldn’t have done it without them and I am so grateful. Very highly recommended. Thank you so much"

  • "After much research my wife and I decided to work with Encantada. That was two years ago, and we have no regrets, only good things came of it. Between Stephanie, the native Brit who speaks Spanish completely fluently and made getting our Spanish ID cards (DNI) a breeze, both for our first year and now our second, combined with her business partner Maria, a native Valencian lawyer who successfully shepherded our visa renewals and continues to advise us as we deal with neighbors below who suffered a water leak from our terrace, we couldn't be happier with all the services Encantada has provided, they are Wonderful!"

John Schwartz, Washington DC, USA 🇺🇸

  • "The team at Encantada has been absolutely amazing to work with. From the moment we decided to move to Spain, they were right there with us, guiding us through every form, appointment, apostilled document, and translation we never knew we’d need. They handled everything—visas, schools for our kids, a bank account, an apartment, our Padrón, our NIE cards—you name it, they coordinated it. Their staff even joined us at appointments to translate and make sure nothing went off the rails. As a family of five moving across the world, this kind of support was priceless. And a huge shoutout to Stephanie and Maria, who somehow managed to stay patient, cheerful, and wonderfully supportive through all of our complicated choices and ever-changing decisions."

  • "Absolutely great company! María helped us to make the step of moving to Spain. Our experience with them could not have been better. From getting a bank account and our NIE to buying our own home; they are fantastic. Clear and quick communication, explaining all the steps along the way and great knowledge. We could not have done it without them! Thank you María and Stephanie!"

    Marieke Kramer, Utrecht, Netherlands 🇳🇱

  • "I cannot say enough good things about our business with Encantada World. Five Stars are not enough. Stephanie and Maria not only helped guide us through this process, they were our advocates, eyes and boots on the ground. They helped us find our forever home through all sorts of challenges and legal issues with the property we purchased. Lots of phone and video calls, legal wrangling and attention to detail helped us realize our dream. Their international knowledge helped negotiate both the Spanish and US systems and needs. When Encantada World says they are a Bespoke Service. They mean it. Oh, and did I mention they know EVERYBODY! Bankers, interior decorators, driving school, tax attorneys, furniture stores - EVERYBODY! Thank you, Stephanie and Maria. You are the BEST!"
